With the Yonko Kaido, Luffy, and all the FIVE ELDERS possessing Zoan-type Mythical Zoan Fruits, these fruits have become a hot topic. But are they truly the strongest type?
Let’s dive into this topic!
Mythical Zoan Fruits Are Rarer than Logia
With major figures like Kaido, Luffy, and the FIVE ELDERS all being Mythical Zoan Fruit users, it’s clear that these fruits are gaining a lot of attention. It’s been said that Mythical Zoan Fruits are “rarer than Logia,” as noted by Kizaru (Borsalino) during the Summit War when discussing Marco’s Phoenix abilities.
At that time, only the Phoenix Fruit had been introduced, making it indeed “rare.”
During the recently depicted God Valley Incident, the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon) was highlighted as a fruit of immense value, and Kaido mentioned the significant struggle he went through to obtain the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami (Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi no Makami).
While all Devil Fruits are difficult to obtain, it seems that Mythical Zoan Fruits are particularly elusive.
However, the term “rare” typically implies something that is extremely uncommon or exists in very few numbers. If these fruits are rarer than Logia, it suggests that there are fewer Mythical Zoan Fruits than Logia Fruits.
To date, we’ve seen twelve Logia Fruits: Moku Moku, Mera Mera, Suna Suna, Goro Goro, Hie Hie, Yami Yami, Pika Pika, Magu Magu, Numa Numa, Gasu Gasu, Yuki Yuki, and Mori Mori.
In contrast, thirteen Mythical Zoan Fruits have appeared: Phoenix, Daibutsu (Great Buddha), Daimyojin (Great Priest), Yamata no Orochi (Eight-Headed Serpent), Seiryu (Azure Dragon), Okuchi no Makami (Great Wolf), Nika, Pegasus, Gyuuki (Ushioni), Baryon (Horse Skeleton), Fuki (Boar Demon), Sandworm, and Itsutsubate (Five-Tongued Bird).
This already surpasses the number of Logia Fruits.
Taking the expression used during the Summit War at face value might not be entirely accurate, but it’s likely that, logically speaking, there are more Mythical Zoan Fruits than Logia Fruits.
Could “rare” have a different meaning here?
