What Incident Will Result from Devon Touching Saint Saturn’s Leg? | Was the Purpose Transformation or Possession?

Was the Purpose Transformation or Possession?

Devon says, “Mission accomplished,” indicating that this task was likely given to her by Blackbeard himself, especially since she was with Van Augur, who is known for his strong loyalty to Blackbeard.
However, Devon also mentioned that she had never heard of the FIVE ELDERS descending to Earth, and Saint Saturn had kept his participation in the operation a secret until he landed on Egghead.
Perhaps Devon and Augur intercepted Marine communications or Augur scouted with his Warp-Warp Fruit, discovering Saturn’s presence, and then reported it to Blackbeard, who assigned this mission. But what exactly was that mission?
As mentioned earlier, it seems more useful for Devon to possess Saint Saturn rather than just transform into him, as she wouldn’t be able to replicate Saturn’s strength, and her disguise would be easily uncovered since the real Saturn is present.
While it’s unclear if the Nine-Tailed Fox has the power to possess others, some legends suggest that the fox could possess people, so it’s not impossible.
The Nine-Tailed Fox is closer to a deity than a mere yokai, so it wouldn’t be surprising if it had such abilities.
If Devon could possess Saint Saturn, she could act as him, including using his powers, which would make it easy to infiltrate Mary Geoise.
It’s unknown how much Blackbeard knows about the inner workings of the World Government, but if he knew about Imu-Sama and could possess them, it would allow him to seize control of the world.
If that happened, Devon might no longer have any reason to follow Blackbeard…
At the very least, it would be extremely useful for Blackbeard’s immediate goal of establishing the Blackbeard Kingdom. Therefore, I believe that Devon might have a possession ability rather than just a transformation ability.
