Is Imu-Sama Controlled by the Desire to Control? | The Most Unfree Slave in the World?

Imu-sama is the supreme authority of the world, even above the FIVE ELDERS, who bow their heads to them. But is it really possible for such an entity to exist? Let’s delve into this topic!

The World’s Highest Authority, Nerona Imu

Imu-sama is the true highest authority in the world, to whom even the FIVE ELDERS bow. Yet, the World Government was founded on the principle of the “Empty Throne,” a doctrine that denies the existence of a single ruler of the world. This principle is supposed to apply even to the Celestial Dragons, who are considered gods, making Imu-sama’s existence itself taboo.
As I’ve written before, it’s hard to understand why such a rule or taboo was created in the first place…
The Twenty Kings were the victors of the war during the Void Century and likely established a new era, making them the rulers who set the rules for the new world. If Imu-sama was the leader of the Twenty Kings, they could have rightfully reigned as the sole king and supreme ruler of the world. They could have even received the Perpetual Youth Surgery and been recognized as the eternal ruler.
However, the fact that they deliberately created the doctrine of the “Empty Throne” and made themselves a non-existent entity in the eyes of the world suggests that they either had no choice or found it more convenient.
But living eternally in hiding as the world’s supreme authority seems devoid of any purpose…
While rulers rarely interact with commoners, Imu-sama is likely confined to Pangaea Castle, unable to see the outside world or even breathe fresh air. Such a situation would be incredibly stressful for an ordinary person…
Being the world’s supreme authority might sound appealing, but in Imu-sama’s position, it seems like they can’t even enjoy the feelings that come with that power.
Not being able to go outside feels like a punishment, almost like a form of asceticism…
While Imu-sama holds a position where they should be the freest, they actually seem to be the most unfree person in the world…
