Saint Shepherd Ten Peter and the Power of the Sandworm | Jupiter and the Sandworm

Jupiter and the Sandworm

There’s little doubt that Saint Peter represents the planet Jupiter among the Five Elders. The name Jupiter is derived from the Roman god Jove or Jupiter, who is identified with Zeus in Greek mythology. Jupiter, as the sky god and the god of thunder, also has ties to agriculture due to the association of rain and lightning with farming.

This connection might explain why Peter is the God of Agriculture among the Five Elders. Additionally, Peter is a Sandworm user, but we’ve yet to see any specific mythical abilities tied to this power.

I’ve previously written that the Sandworm might be inspired by the Mongolian Death Worm, a cryptid from the real world that’s said to emit powerful venom and electricity. This ties in with the idea of Jupiter as a god of lightning, making it highly likely that Peter’s Sandworm possesses similar abilities.

Though Luffy’s rubber body makes him immune to electricity, for others, this power would be terrifying. The thought of an enormous creature like the Sandworm unleashing lightning is enough to make one shudder, and such power seems fitting for one of the Five Elders.

The Shepherd family originally came from a royal lineage on Earth, but which kingdom did they rule? I suspect it might be the Lulusia Kingdom, but let’s explore this further.
