Is it Like Spirit Particle Energy?
In the world of One Piece, characters like Luffy and others possess the mysterious ability to “hear the voice of all things,” indicating that these things possess some form of will. As I’ve mentioned in previous articles, this concept aligns with the Japanese idea of “Yaoyorozu no Kami,” where everything has a soul.
The Devil Fruits also “awaken,” which suggests they have souls as well. If we assume that all things have souls, it wouldn’t be surprising if water—whether freshwater or seawater—also harbored a soul and some form of will. If the energy within that soul could be converted into electricity, it would be a harmless and potentially infinite energy source.
In other media, “spirit particle energy” or “reiatsu” often appears as a power stronger than atomic energy. I think that One Piece might introduce this concept as well. Haki, described as spiritual power, is already a proven, powerful force within the series. Haki could be considered a form of spirit particle energy, and I believe that Haki—or spiritual energy—resides in everything.
Vegapunk might have discovered this, continuing his research into harnessing this spiritual energy, resulting in the creation of the Mother Flame. Moreover, in many ancient depictions, a soul is often represented as a flickering flame, so the idea of a fire burning within water aligns with the concept of a soul.
However, I believe the origin of this energy isn’t solely Vegapunk’s invention but may have roots in the ancient civilization on the Moon.
