Will It Lead to Destruction or Transformation?
ONE PIECE Chapter 1115 Predictions and Theories | Will It Lead to Destruction or Transformation?
Will It Lead to Destruction or Transformation?
Human progress… The Mother Flame can be seen as one form of human progress. I believe the Mother Flame could be the power source for the ancient weapon Uranus, held by Im-sama and the others, and there’s already evidence that it could bring about the destruction of the world by causing the world to sink into the sea…
If Im-sama can control the Mother Flame, then the possibility of such a future cannot be dismissed. And if Im-sama holds it, and it means that humanity cannot resist, then the world might never change.
In that sense, human progress could destroy humanity or hinder the transformation into a better world. Even if humanity advances in science and ability, the future they truly desire may not come to pass.
While spiritual progress could also lead humanity down a dangerous path, it seems that progress in power alone lacks the elements necessary to break away from the current world order where some dominate others. Both power and spiritual progress are likely necessary, but humanity tends to focus on the tangible, immediate progress in power, while spiritual progress remains less emphasized.
It might seem strange for a scientist like Vegapunk to stress spiritual progress, but in a way, it lends credibility to the idea. While I’ve written various thoughts on human progress, the reason I believe Vegapunk’s message might include such themes is that Saturn Saint stated, during his conversation with Vegapunk, that “humanity doesn’t need progress.”
If the current world is the result of Im-sama and others deliberately suppressing or hindering human progress for the past 800 years since the Void Century, then humanity has had both its progress and time stolen to suit the needs of a few. If they’ve stolen not only the Void Century but 800 years of time from humanity as a whole, is there any greater crime?
Many might think this has nothing to do with them, but the Celestial Dragons, who claim to be gods yet are human, have no right to wield such power… Even if they were true gods, such actions should not be condoned.
The Celestial Dragons seem mad enough to actually sink the world into the sea if humanity dares to defy them. Vegapunk may not intend to pass judgment on the Celestial Dragons’ morality, but he likely believes that people have the right to know, which is why he’s sending out his message.
I’m curious about how Luffy and the others will escape from Egghead, but for now, I can’t help but be more interested in the contents of Vegapunk’s message and how it will impact the world!
That concludes this article. Thank you very much for reading to the end!
