In One Piece Chapter 1115, there was a scene where Imu-sama, while playing with a swarm of butterflies, was depicted as listening to Vegapunk’s message with a sense of calm, but also harboring anger. This time, I’ll delve into that further!
Imu-sama and a Swarm of Butterflies
Imu-sama is currently shown in the Flower Room of Pangaea Castle, silently listening to Vegapunk’s message. In Chapter 1115, we saw a scene where Imu-sama is surrounded by an unusually large number of butterflies. This contrasts sharply with the panic and anger shown by the Five Elders at Egghead, giving the impression of a calm demeanor, but it’s hard to believe that Imu-sama doesn’t see Vegapunk’s rebellion as a serious issue or isn’t feeling anger about it.
Given that it’s likely Imu-sama was behind King Cobra’s death, and considering that the Five Elders can’t stop the broadcast, Imu-sama must be fully aware of the situation and the unknown extent of Vegapunk’s revelations. Will Imu-sama remain idle and merely observe?
As I’ve written before, I suspect Imu-sama might intend to use the butterflies to do something. Chapter 1115 depicted an unprecedented number of butterflies, which seems significant. I’ve written various theories about Imu-sama and the butterflies, and I can’t help but feel they are deeply connected to Imu-sama’s ‘ability.’
If Imu-sama could move to Egghead like the Five Elders, I believe they would have already done so. The fact that they haven’t suggests that Imu-sama may have a method to intervene in and resolve situations on the surface that even the Five Elders can’t handle, making the butterflies more than just a symbol of Imu-sama’s anger. Perhaps these butterflies could manifest as a projection of Imu-sama at Egghead to stop the broadcast, or something along those lines.
Moreover, Imu-sama seems to have an open heart to the butterflies, almost as if conversing with them. From this, I wonder if Imu-sama might also possess the ‘Voice of All Things’…
