Who is the Legendary Iron Giant? | What is the True Identity of the Iron Giant?
What is the True Identity of the Iron Giant?
It’s almost certain that the Iron Giant was created by the advanced civilization that existed during the Void Century, and Vegapunk likely came to the same conclusion. However, since it appeared in Mary Geoise 200 years ago, the Iron Giant hasn’t awakened since.
Even if Vegapunk conducted research on it, the Iron Giant itself wouldn’t provide much information. The key to understanding its true identity likely lies in ancient documents and rare records. What purpose was the Iron Giant created for?
Logically, it seems likely that the Iron Giant was created to protect the great kingdom that had an advanced civilization. It wasn’t just a combat robot; it was designed to defend the kingdom, its people, and even its ideals from external threats. If it is made from the same material as Poneglyphs, it could be described as a “fighting Poneglyph.” It seems more like a defensive weapon rather than an offensive one.
The Iron Giant appears to have thought, emotion, and possibly memory. If ancient documents mentioned such attributes, it would make sense why Vegapunk entrusted the broadcasting Den Den Mushi to it. Originally, there might have been more than one Iron Giant, but most were likely destroyed during the war of the Void Century, leaving only this one on Egghead, similar to how King is the last of the Lunarians.
The Iron Giant likely functioned as a guardian of the Great Kingdom during the Void Century, and Vegapunk may have uncovered this much about its true identity. But does the Iron Giant understand that it’s protecting the broadcasting Den Den Mushi? And what does it mean that it seemingly has thought and emotion?
