Firstly, it’s hopeful, though perhaps unlikely, that the Straw Hat Crew will recover him. In this scenario, the Iron Giant would likely reach out to the crew, leading to them noticing and recovering it. The Iron Giant should be able to sense the location of the Drums of Liberation, so if it survives after the Five Elders retreat, there’s a possibility it might reach out to the crew.

However, this seems difficult if Luffy’s Nika form ends and the Iron Giant stops moving by the time the Five Elders retreat.
