Predictions for ONE PIECE Chapter 1131 | Why Is Elbaf Welcoming Luffy?

Predictions for ONE PIECE Chapter 1131 | Is Luffy Expected to Defeat Loki?

Is Luffy Expected to Defeat Loki?

Loki is currently restrained for patricide and for consuming the legendary Devil Fruit.

His bindings are likely made of Seastone, or perhaps the tree itself has properties that weaken Devil Fruit users, rendering him docile.

Despite his severe crimes, he hasn’t been executed, possibly due to complications regarding the royal succession.

His apparent strength might also make him difficult to kill outright.

Even Dorry and Brogy, despite their fear of Loki, seem unable to bring themselves to kill him, perhaps out of respect for his royal status.

In such circumstances, it would make sense for Elbaf to place their hopes on the Sun God Nika, a figure of faith and reverence.

If Luffy is being welcomed to Elbaf, it’s highly likely they expect him to defeat Loki.

However, as of now, Loki isn’t an enemy or a source of annoyance to Luffy. He isn’t someone Luffy feels compelled to defeat, and Luffy usually only fights for deeply personal reasons—like protecting what’s dear to him.

For Luffy to fight Loki, something significant must occur to motivate him.

Beyond Loki’s defeat, Elbaf may also wish to be freed from the curse of the legendary Devil Fruit passed down in their royal family.
