Hyldin Was Also the Child of the King of Elbaf! | Will the Sun God Bring the Dawn?
Will the Sun God Bring the Dawn?
The land of Wano endured 20 long years of darkness following the deaths of Oden and Toki. It was only through the intervention of the Sun God Nika, embodied by Luffy, that the country finally saw the dawn.
Similarly, Elbaf, with its absent king and internal turmoil, could be said to be experiencing its own period of darkness.
While Loki claims the title of “Sun God” or “King,” he also speaks of ending the world. It’s clear that Loki is not the Sun God that Elbaf awaits.
Dorry and Brogy have already referred to Luffy as the true Sun God, stating they cannot return to Elbaf without him.
Elbaf’s current plight seems to echo Wano’s, with Luffy destined to guide the nation toward its dawn.
However, Chapter 1130 hints at the possibility of Luffy unintentionally releasing Loki.
If this occurs, Loki will likely attack Luffy, setting the stage for a confrontation.
As Hyldin’s self-proclaimed “boss,” Luffy may feel obligated to resolve the conflict involving Loki.
With members of the New Giant Pirates like Goldberg and Gerth present, Hyldin may also appear to intervene.
Hyldin, whose technique names like “Gungnir” reference Norse mythology, seems to parallel Odin, the chief deity of Norse lore. Much like Odin, who endured great trials to attain his position, Hyldin may ultimately surpass Loki.
It’s possible that Hyldin will be the one to defeat Loki, while Luffy goes on to confront an even greater, as-yet-unseen threat.
