Vegapunk’s broadcast has awakened global fear of another cataclysmic flood. Even Dragon has expressed concerns that competition for safe havens could lead to war.
Imu appears to embody this looming threat. But would they truly consider sinking the world again?
If Imu were to destroy the current world—which took 800 years to build—the World Government would face near-total annihilation. The Red Line might end up as the last remaining landmass.
The construction of massive structures like Tequila Wolf suggests that Imu has been preparing for such an eventuality. However, this plan would likely result in a drastic population decline.
In the past, I speculated that Imu might intend to relocate only the obedient to the Red Line. But even with this approach, it’s unlikely that even half the world’s population would survive.
While a smaller, more manageable world might align with Imu’s ideals, it would come at a tremendous cost.
The Celestial Dragons, as long as their luxurious lifestyles are preserved, would likely support such a vision. They already see commoners as expendable “trash” or “vermin.”
Ultimately, what kind of world does Imu envision?
If they truly seek a world where “unnecessary elements” are eradicated, it reflects a god-like perspective.
But as Dragon has pointed out, “A world that eliminates what it deems unnecessary holds no happiness for anyone.”
With Vegapunk’s revelations, the world now knows truths it had long been denied. Imu may face the risk of being deemed one of the “unnecessary” elements.
