It seems natural to assume Linlin perished in the magma, burning to death. But some might wonder, did Linlin — as powerful as she is — truly die from something like that, as she herself once claimed? There’s a lingering question…
Personally, I think there’s a possibility that if Linlin remained conscious within the magma, she could still use the power of her Soru Soru no Mi. Specifically, she could have infused her soul into the magma, turning it into a Homie.
The Soru Soru no Mi allows her to grant souls to inanimate objects, though not living beings. Once transformed, the magma would stop burning her, just as Prometheus doesn’t burn her.
Given this, it’s plausible that Linlin might have survived. If she did manage to turn the magma into a Homie, it would drastically increase her combat power!
Akainu (Sakazuki) once stated that magma could burn even fire, meaning a magma Homie would likely be even stronger than Prometheus. Such a creature would possess a similar power type to Sakazuki, with the added bonus of being unaffected by Haki, just like other Homies.
If Linlin were to return stronger than ever, it’s likely she would also save Kaido, whom she regarded as her junior. There’s a strong possibility that both of them might still be alive.
Any mention of Linlin in the Elbaf Arc could very well be foreshadowing her powered-up revival. If she’s still alive, it would certainly make her a true monster!
