ONE PIECE Chapter 1129 Analysis | Will Linlin’s Past Be Addressed Through Zeus?
Will Linlin’s Past Be Addressed Through Zeus?
With the Elbaf Arc underway, we’re seeing Nami call upon Zeus, who she hardly used during the Egghead Arc, and Zeus is shining in this battle. Zeus is a special Homie created by Linlin using her Soru Soru no Mi ability, infusing her own soul into him. While Zeus has this bond with Linlin, it’s unlikely he knows anything about her past.
For the giants of Elbaf, Homies likely bring back memories of Mother Carmel, but they also inevitably remind them of Linlin. The giants of Elbaf probably know or have deduced how Linlin acquired her powers, and it’s well known that she wielded the Soru Soru no Mi.
Going forward, whenever Nami uses Zeus in Elbaf, it’s possible the giants will develop an aversion to him. Since Nami, now Zeus’ master, has an odd connection to Linlin, through both Zeus and her link with Lola, it’s possible that Nami might also face disdain from the giants of Elbaf.
However, Nami and Zeus wouldn’t be able to accept that without understanding why. If they uncover the reason behind it, how would they react?
With Linlin presumed dead, one might say the matter is settled. However, the revelation of what Linlin did would no doubt shock Nami and Zeus. Nami might even start questioning if Linlin was ever truly human.
If something like this unfolds in the Elbaf Arc, it could very well be a clue to Big Mom’s revival or a foreshadowing of her return. What if Linlin retained consciousness even in the magma chamber?
