Will Vegapunk and Weatheria Save the World? | Did Birka Play a Role in the Birth of the White-White Sea and Sky Islands?

Did Birka Play a Role in the Birth of the White-White Sea and Sky Islands?

We don’t know much about what the sky island of Birka was like, but considering that it shares the same name as the ancient city on the moon and that the wall murals Eneru saw on the moon depicted people resembling the inhabitants of Skypiea, it’s highly likely that the sky island of Birka is a descendant of the moon’s ancient civilization.

It’s also clear that the White-White Sea and the sky islands weren’t naturally occurring phenomena. Personally, I believe these were man-made worlds, created by the people of the moon for some reason.

Hints about how they were created can likely be found in the explanations of the Sea Clouds and Island Clouds given during the Skypiea arc. Creating an expansive world in the sky, as large as the surface world, would require technology far more advanced than even Vegapunk’s current level.

Also, it seems that the residents of Skypiea didn’t know about the sky island of Birka, so it might have been a secluded nation, much like a “closed-off” country, to prevent their advanced technology from being misused.

However, it’s also possible that Birka was the central hub for the creation of the White-White Sea and other sky islands.

Perhaps Vegapunk plans to learn this technology from Dr. Haredas and his colleagues?

Vegapunk, who has long dreamed of advancing humanity and securing peace, now bears the guilt of having created the Mother Flame, leading to the revival of ancient weapons and threatening the world. His goal for the remainder of his life may be to save humanity, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that.

Even if a new floating land can be created to relocate people, the means of transportation to get them there is also a problem. This will likely involve finding a way to reconnect the sky islands and the surface world, perhaps by rediscovering ancient routes.

Weatheria will likely need to cooperate in that regard too.

With all that said, it’s clear that Vegapunk’s next moves will be fascinating, and I can’t wait to see what he does next!
