Is the World Government Necessary for World Domination?

As I have previously written, the World Government established by Imu-sama and the original 20 kings is an excellent system for world domination.

All member countries are considered equal, and the policy of “never creating or acknowledging a sole king,” symbolized by the Empty Throne, makes it very convenient for those in the ruling position within the organization.

In reality, the existence of the Celestial Dragons—the privileged class that rules the World Government—has broken this principle. However, the surface-level implementation of the World Government’s ideals by the people on land remains unchanged. Although wars occasionally break out in various regions, peace has generally been maintained.

While it seems there are no obvious benefits for Teach to join the World Government in founding his kingdom, the possible reason for his insistence on joining might be to deny the existence of the Celestial Dragons by becoming a member nation.

Member countries are required to pay a “Heavenly Tribute” to the Celestial Dragons, but the idea of contributing money to those who live a life of luxury without offering anything in return, and who consider others as slaves, is absurd to anyone.

Dragon and the Revolutionary Army seek to liberate both the World Government member nations and non-member nations from the rule of the Celestial Dragons. On the other hand, Teach, as one of the heads of a member nation, might be trying to incite other member nations to dethrone the Celestial Dragons.

The Navy is supposed to exist for the World Government, not for the Celestial Dragons. If Teach, as one of the Four Emperors who rules the seas and displays his strength, allies himself with the World Government, its military power will likely be sufficient to bring down the Celestial Dragons.

For that, he might also need the One Piece or the Ancient Weapons. If Teach is indeed plotting what I have discussed so far, it will ultimately lead to “taking over the world,” as Devon and the others hinted.

If he liberates the World Government from the rule of the Celestial Dragons, Teach could quickly go from being an infamous pirate to a “hero.”

Then, he would dominate and take over the World Government.

If this is the reason why he insists on becoming part of the World Government, the Revolutionary Army is likely an obstacle for him…
