Is the Straw Hat a Symbol of the Dawn? | What Does “D = Dawn” Mean?
What Does “D = Dawn” Mean?
I think “D” and the Straw Hat signify “the dawn.” If that’s the case, what does the dawn mean?
In previous articles, I have mentioned that the current world is in a state of night, and “D” brings about the dawn to that world. If that’s true, it signifies a transformation of the world…
The world controlled by Imu-sama, who seems like a being of darkness, is a world of night. Imu-sama desires to keep the world in darkness and prevent the dawn.
Darkness signifies “ignorance” in Buddhism. It doesn’t simply mean not knowing things but not knowing the truth.
Being unaware that the current world is a world of darkness, not realizing it, or even turning a blind eye despite knowing it is truly “ignorance.”
In darkness, there are many things one cannot see or notice. The Will of D might be the light that brings forth “the truth” of humanity.
Even things one can do might seem impossible because of ignorance. Perhaps the Will of D also carries the meaning of turning the impossible into possibility.
Teach said, “Nothing in this world is impossible.” Luffy’s dream, laughed at by many as impossible, resonates with this notion.
Perhaps the Will of D encompasses the belief that even things deemed impossible can be realized.
Could it be that the “D” 800 years ago attempted to create an impossible dream—a world where all races live peacefully in harmony with nature, with the Straw Hat as its symbol?
This concludes the introduction of this article.
