Can Luffy and the Others Reclaim the Sunny? Who Stole the Sunny and Where Is It?

In Chapter 1127 of ONE PIECE, we see that Luffy and the others, along with the Sunny, have been taken to a giant castle made of what appears to be Lego blocks.

But what has happened to the Sunny itself? Let’s dive into that in this article!

Who Managed to “Kidnap” It?

Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp have been taken to Big Stein Castle in Elbaf, a massive structure made out of Lego-like blocks.

This means that they were “kidnapped” along with the Sunny.

What’s puzzling, however, is how they were kidnapped despite the presence of Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp—all of whom possess the ability to use Observation Haki.

Even if Luffy and Usopp could have been caught off guard, Zoro and Sanji should be particularly sensitive to being attacked while asleep.

However, if the kidnapper harbored no killing intent or malice, then perhaps not even Observation Haki could have detected them.

Nami, in particular, speculates that the situation may be linked to the absinthe that the New Giant Warrior Pirates served them.

Absinthe is said to be extremely delicious, but drinking too much of it can cause hallucinations. Nami mentions the possibility that the kidnapping itself might be an illusion.

At the very least, it seems possible that everyone who participated in the feast was left vulnerable due to falling into a deep sleep.

Big Stein Castle has existed in Elbaf for some time, suggesting it wasn’t created using a Devil Fruit ability. Instead, it appears that Devil Fruit powers were involved in transporting them from the sea to the castle.

In the end, it’s likely that their exhaustion from the events at Egghead, combined with the hallucinogenic effects of the strong alcohol absinthe, caused them to fall into a deep sleep. Afterward, they were possibly affected by some Devil Fruit ability.

If Devil Fruit powers were indeed involved, I personally suspect it could be related to mist.

A power that generates mist, allowing the user to freely control anything that enters it, seems like a plausible explanation.

Ships disappearing into the mist at sea is a classic scenario, and if everyone was deeply asleep, they wouldn’t have noticed a thing.

But regardless of how it happened, where is the Sunny now?
