ONE PIECE Chapter 1126+ Predictions and Analysis | Another “Corporate Slave” Awakening

Another Awakening from a “Corporate Slave”

In the Future Island arc, Admiral Kizaru referred to himself as a “corporate slave” while carrying out the assassination of his friend Vegapunk, which left him emotionally scarred. After Sakazuki’s heartless remarks, Kizaru finally snapped, awakening from his self-imposed mental state.

Personally, I see the “corporate slave” mindset as a kind of self-hypnosis, and in the current ONE PIECE world, it seems that many people are under a similar spell in their service to the Celestial Dragons.

This applies to both Kaku and Lucci. However, Lucci appears to have been more fiercely loyal to the World Government than Kaku.

Lucci seems to have the same “corporate slave” mindset, but during this arc, when he asked Saint Mars to spare Kaku’s life, Saint Mars dismissively responded, “Insects are stepped on because they happen to be in the way.”

To Lucci, Kaku was more than just a colleague; he was a partner, practically a brother. The two had risked their lives countless times for the World Government. However, Saint Mars’s words implied that no matter how much they contributed, they were still seen as nothing more than insects.

Lucci remained silent after hearing this, but there’s no way he didn’t feel anything. I believe Lucci may be on the verge of awakening from his “corporate slave” mindset.

Lucci likely heard Vegapunk’s broadcast and, considering his knowledge of the Lulusia Kingdom incident, he probably realizes that the World Government now possesses and is willing to use ancient weapons.

Despite all their efforts, Lucci has realized that to the Celestial Dragons, he and Kaku are just expendable.

This shift in his perspective might have influenced his actions towards Stussy…
