Will Lucci Abandon Kaku? | Is Kizaru Not Returning? A Change of Heart?

In ONE PIECE Chapter 1111, there seems to be a hint of change in the mindset of both Lucci and Kaku.
Will they be able to continue fighting for “justice” as they have been up until now?
This article will explore that topic in detail.

CP-0 Director Whose Partner Was Called a Bug

Rob Lucci currently holds the title of Director of CP-0, a position of significant rank within the World Government. However, when he asked Saint Mars to spare the life of his injured partner Kaku, Saint Mars callously responded, stating that bugs are meant to be crushed and not something to concern oneself with.
I was a bit surprised that Lucci referred to Kaku as his “partner.”
Yet, considering their long-standing relationship as the two top agents of CP-9, and perhaps having grown close during their time as boys in Guanhao, this bond makes sense.
Personally, I see their relationship as somewhat similar to that of Kid and Killer.
Kid would surely fly into a rage if someone referred to Killer as a “bug,” and now Lucci finds himself in a similar position.
During the Reverie, when Vivi protested against Saint Charlos’ tyranny, Lucci told her that gods are not bound by reason. He meant that as a god, a Celestial Dragon is not subject to the rules of humans, and that was technically correct, given that Celestial Dragons are considered more than human.
However, can Lucci still say the same now that his partner has been referred to as a bug?
Even as the top agent of CP-0, he and Kaku are nothing more than insects in the eyes of the Celestial Dragons.
While his mind may rationalize it as “They are gods, so it’s justice,” can Lucci’s heart endure this?
When Kizaru (Borsalino) landed on Egghead Island and attempted to eliminate Vegapunk, Sanji, observing Kaku’s condition, remarked that Kaku had been abandoned. But I believe Lucci acted because he knew that the Straw Hat Pirates wouldn’t harm Kaku.
In a way, Lucci trusted his enemies more than his own allies.
Though Lucci may be badly wounded from his battles with Zoro and Jinbe, I don’t think he’s the kind of man to abandon his partner.
Lucci will likely attempt to rescue Kaku.
Similarly, Borsalino seems to be harboring emotional scars…
