The Reason Why Saint Saturn Stayed on Egghead | The Five Elders Murder Case?
The Five Elders Murder Case?
While it seemed unlikely that Saturn would die after showing his strength, Devon’s “mission complete” line continues to bother me…
I think Devon might have met the conditions necessary to impersonate Saturn, and if that’s the case, the real Saturn would become an obstacle.
If Devon is planning to replace Saturn, she would need to get rid of the original.
The Nine-Tailed Fox, the mythical creature associated with Devon’s abilities, eventually turns into a “Sessho-seki,” or Killing Stone, which releases a poison that kills all living things.
However, I don’t think this poison would work on Saturn, who is already poisonous.
But what if the Killing Stone’s ability is not just poison, but also something more like a curse?
A curse could cause Saturn, who was never destined to die on Egghead, to succumb to some minor mishap.
Hawkins also had a curse-based ability, and in the end, there was no clear way to counter it—survival was left to fate.
Kid couldn’t break Hawkins’ curse either.
Saint Saturn didn’t seem to understand what Devon had done to him, and it’s likely that Saturn himself isn’t considering the possibility of his own death.
It would be ironic if Saturn died for a trivial reason, and it was reported as the unprecedentedly heinous “Five Elders Murder Case,” with Luffy and his crew being framed as the culprits.
If Saturn were to die, it would be a significant loss for Im and the others, and the Egghead Incident could deal a blow to the World Government as well.
Given Saturn’s past actions, it’s possible that his accumulated karma might bring about a fitting end for him…
